On Thursday two new immigration streams are opened with its anticipated Express Entry-linked stream by the Canadian province of Alberta.
These steams were expected on early January of this year. Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) delayed their preface until now. For this Express Entry Stream candidates in the federal Express Entry pool can apply for a provincial nomination in Alberta. The AINP mentioned in its announcement of its Express Entry Stream that “Candidates who have demonstrated strong ties to Alberta and who can help support the government’s economic development and diversification priorities will be invited to apply.”
The Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class these are the main economic immigration classes of Canada. And the federal Express Entry system manages candidates for this. A candidate in the Express Entry pool can obtain 600 extra points of Canadian province under the Comprehensive Ranking System if they receives a nomination from. And it is prioritized for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
In the Express Entry pool qualified candidates with profiles will be selected directly by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. Only after receiving an invitation from the AINP; candidates of Express Entry can apply for a provincial nomination. To enter the Express Entry pool candidates have to face this stream first.
